Warranty & Repairs
Does my jewelry have a warranty?

Joyful Jewlery will repair or replace manufacturing faults free of charge up to 2 years from the date of purchase for silver jewellery and 2 years from the date of purchase for gold jewellery. Please retain your receipt or pass it on to the gift recipient, as the original proof of purchase is the warranty. If a receipt is not available a credit card or bank statement will suffice.


Considerations of products expiring their relevant warranty period, during lockdown, will be taken into account with valid proof of purchase.


Please note that parts of wood, leather, glass and string items have a warranty of one year from date of purchase.

Can my Joyful Jewelry jewellery be repaired?

This depends on the work required and will be evaluated on assessment. We offer a repairs service in store including replacing clasps, fixing clasps, soldering work, re-threading of charms and tightening clips and clasps. If your jewellery is outside of the warranty or where there is no proof of purchase, these services will be at a small cost. In some circumstances, it may not be possible to repair the damage caused. Please note all repairs are subject to stock and availability on parts and elements required to complete the repair work.

My Joyful Jewelry has arrived and is damaged/faulty. What should I do?

We politely request that faulty or damaged items are returned to a Joyful Jewelry retailer for assessment.


Online purchases can be returned with our free returns service. For assistance please contact our customer care via phone or email our customer service team.


For store purchases, we would advise that you return to the store where the item was originally purchased from. However, if this is inconvenient for you, we would advise you to return to any Joyful Jewelry stockist for assistance. Your store will be able to keep you up to date with the progress of your repair/replacement and the item will be returned to the store when the assessment/repair is complete.

How should I care for my Joyful Jewelry?

Your Joyful Jewelry should be handled with care at all times. Please keep your Joyful Jewelry out of reach of small children and babies.


All sterling silver will tarnish over time, but it will happen much faster when it comes into contact with agents such as perfume, salty air, sulphur, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine and acidic skin ph.


Jewellery should be stored away from sunlight and heat, in a protective (lined) jewellery box or a tarnish-resistant pouch. It can also be stored in a plastic zip lock bag made of mylar or polyethylene. Never use polyvinyl plastic bags as they contain sulphur compounds, which will make sterling silver tarnish faster.


We recommend that you do not wear any jewellery whilst bathing, whilst in bed or during sporting activities.


A safe way to clean most jewellery is to pour a small amount of a mild liquid detergent (pH neutral) in lukewarm water and use a small, soft brush. If the jewellery item is very dirty, leave it to soak in the water for about 10 minutes. Rinse and pat dry with a soft, clean cloth.
